There are many different types of hair conditions that cause hair to break, thin and even fall out. Lucid Bliss is formulated as a topical solution to help address theseissues that arise from congested follicles and cuticle damage. It’s important to note, your specific concern should always be evaluated by a licensed cosmetologist and/or medical professional to properly diagnose the cause. First, to help guide you through that converation, we believe it’s helpful for you to understand the basics of hair, it’s anatomy and growth cycle.
Anatomy of The Hair
Hair is made of a tough protein called keratin. Each strand of hair is anchored into the skin with a hair follicle. The hair bulb forms the base of the hair follicle, that what we refer to as the roots. In the roots, living cells divide and grow to build the hairshaft. The hairshaft is formed in three layers, the medulla, cortex and cuticle. It is vital to have a strong cortex and cuticle intact for smooth, healthy looking hair.
The Hair Growth Cycle
The hair growth cycle consists of three distinct stages – anagen, catagen and telogen.Anagen Phase
This is the growth phase,it can last an average of 3-5 years. The retained length of the hair strand will depend on internal and external factors (such as diet, self-care and styling practices). Growth can even be influenced by the weather. For example, you may find your hair grows faster in the warmer climates than in cold.Catagen Phase
At the end of the anagen phase, your hair enters the catagen phase. A short transitional phase that lasts approximately 10 days.Telogen Phase
Lastly, your hair enters the telogen phase, a resting phase when your hair is released and falls out. The follicle then remains inactive for 3 months and the whole process is repeated.
The Lucid Bliss hair care system energizes the scalp and stimulates blood flow which helps deliver vital nutrients to the hair follicle. This supports the anagen phase by ensuring your hair follicles have everything they need to build healthy hair.
